Wild animals vastly outnumber humans. According to Animal Charity Evaluators, the vast majority of animals (multiple trillions) live in the wild, where many have short lives and painful deaths from disease, hunger and predation. The organisation believes that if we can make changes that help even a fraction of these animals, we will have improved the lives of a great many individuals.
